RAMBLERS' MEETING: Auckland Ramblers will hold their annual meeting on Monday, in South Church Methodist Church, at 10.30am.

LUNCH DATE: St Mark's Church, Eldon, will serve lunches on Saturday, April 12, from noon to 2pm, to boost church funds.

NEW DATE: The annual meeting of the Ferryhill Station and Chilton Lane Ward Residents' Association, that was due to take place on Tuesday, will now be held on Tuesday, April 22, in the Eldon Arms pub, at 7pm.

PARTNERSHIP MEETING: Bishop Auckland Community Partnership's management committee holds its annual meeting at the Four Clocks Centre, Newgate Street, on Tuesday, April 29, at 7pm. The agenda includes a report on activities at the centre during its first year and an amendment to the partnership's governing document.

PENSIONERS' HELP: Darlington councillors will decide on Tuesday whether to provide funding for two pensioners' clubs. The Firthmoor Over 60s Club has applied for £200 towards summer outings for its 51 members. The Wesley Court Community Centre, in Darlington, which is part of a sheltered housing scheme, has applied for the same amount to take its 33 members on coach trips.

FUNDING WANTED: Darlington Festival for Performing Arts has asked Darlington Borough Council to contribute £500 towards the staging of this year's festival for young musicians, that took place last month. A decision will be made next week.

JUMBLE SALE: There will be a jumble sale at Sadberge Village Hall, on Wednesday, at 6.30pm. Anyone wanting to donate items for sale is asked to leave them at the hall on that day, between 1.30pm and 2.30pm, or between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.
