A PENSIONER has been treated in hospital following a collision with a cyclist.
The 72-year-old woman was admitted to the University Hospital of Hartlepool after the collision with the pedal cyclist, believed to be in his mid-teens, outside her home in Marlowe Avenue in the town. The youth left the scene of the accident at about 4.15pm on Tuesday. The woman sustained a broken arm and wrist. The cyclist, or anyone who witnessed the incident, is asked to call PC Michael Stephenson on (01642) 301558.
CRAFT FAIRS: Following the success of its Christmas craft fair, the Hartlepool and District Hospice is holding two summer fairs and is looking for craftspeople to take part. RAFTING CHALLENGE: The Children's Foundation is looking for people to take part in a white-water rafting challenge on Thursday, July 17, at Teesside White Water Course, Tees Barrage, Stockton. NEW APPOINTMENT: The NHS Appointments Commission has appointed councillor Jean O'Donnell, the mayor of Stockton, to the role of non-executive director of North Tees Primary Care Trust for a four-year term of office.
