A NEW series of free health topic programmes are available each month at a Newton Aycliffe care centre.
Funding secured by the Pioneering Care Partnership has enabled the project to run at the Pioneering Care Centre, in the Cobblers Hall area of town.
Planned topics to be discussed include diabetes, multiple sclerosis and coronary heart disease.
Anyone wanting more information on any of the subject can visit the care centre for an informal group chat, with free refreshments.
Janet Price, the partnership's health projects co-ordinator, said: "I am really excited by this new initiative, which I believe will not only provide information but also raise awareness, around a variety of health related topics for all residents across Sedgefield borough."
Details of dates for each session are available from events worker Gill MacNab on (01325) 321234, minicom (01325) 313133, or call in at the care centre, off Burn Lane.
The centre is on the following bus routes: 4, 4a, 4b, 13, 13a, 91, 91a, 92 and 93.
Booking is essential as places are limited.
