A GROUP of Brownies and Guides are holding a coffee morning to help promote their village community centre.
The future of Middleton St George community centre was secured when a new management committee took over its running.
There had been fears the centre would be sold for housing, but now efforts are being made to get more people to use it to ensure it survives.
To promote the centre, the Middleton St George Brownies and Guides are holding a coffee morning on Saturday, April 12, from 10am until noon.
Many of the groups which use the centre will have stalls at the event, as well as other community groups which work in the village.
A spokeswoman for the Brownies and Guides said: "Now the hall has been saved we want to make sure people use it. The coffee morning is for all the community to show what a great facility we have."
