MARTIAL arts youngsters are celebrating competition success after clinching 12 winners trophies.
Sixteen students, aged from six to 16, from Spennymoor Tae-kwondo club battled it out in a One to One competition at Aycliffe Leisure Centre against clubs from all over the area.
Master Russell Shaw, 4th Dan Instructor at the club said he was extremely proud of his fighters.
He said: "They all did really well. Some of them had never fought before and
it was the first time in competition for them. They all fought brilliantly.''
The club meets at Spennymoor Leisure Centre on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6pm to 7.30pm for juniors and from 7.30pm to 9pm for adults.
