A SCHOOL has been given high marks and praise after a visit by Government inspectors.
The inspectors from the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) found teaching and learning at Ormesby Comprehensive School were good overall, very good in a third of lessons and excellent in a few.
Headteacher Colin Algie and his management team were singled out for special praise.
The inspectors said: "Collectively, the senior management team has gained the willing commitment of the rest of the staff in its determination to provide the best for pupils and expect the most from pupils, whatever their potential or their needs.''
Ormesby School is bidding to gain specialist engineering college status, which Mr Aldie believes should ensure that standards continue to rise
