POLICE are hunting arsonists who caused thousands of pounds worth of damage when they set fire to a building at Bankfields Primary School, in Middlesbrough.
The temporary office was being used by builders who are working on a £450,000 extension to the school to create an art and sports centre at the Mansfield Road site.
Vandals struck at about 1am on March 30 and robbed the makeshift office, beforesetting it on fire.
Work is continuing on the project and progress has not been affected by the attack, but police want to hear from anyone who may knew who carried it out.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police, on (01642) 301926.
