A NEWTON Aycliffe care centre has started running classes on the ancient Chinese art of tai chi.
Tai chi involves sequences of soft flowing movements, created to enhance the individual's overall physical and mental well-being, and is suitable for all age groups and abilities. A class runs on Tuesdays at the Pioneering Care Centre, Cobblers Hall, from 6pm to 7.30pm.
Gill Macnab, events and participation worker, said: "Tai chi is an excellent way of improving general fitness and well-being, meeting new people and having fun along the way."
For information or to book a place, call Gill Macnab on (01325) 321234, minicom (01325) 313133 or call at the centre, off Burn Lane. It is on the following bus routes: 4, 4a, 4b, 13, 13a, 91, 91a, 92 and 93.
