Spennymoor assistant manager Jason Ainsley isn't getting carried away as they continue their promotion drive at Eastwood today.

Ainsley, in charge of the team in the absence of Jamie Pollock, said: "Some people are talking about winning the league, but I'll be satisfied with second place.

"We still have six games to play in the last fortnight of the season, and anything can happen with injuries and suspensions.

"I can understand why people are talking the way they are, because the place is buzzing at the moment.

"We've been scratching out results recently, but on Tuesday we played very well when we drew at Alfreton, and if we had 11 men on the field then we maybe could have won.''

Defender Michael Robson is missing today because of suspension, while central defender David Goodchild has a knee injury and Ainsley has an ankle injury

Moors are in a good position going into today's games.

They are three points behind the automatic promotion places, while bottom club Eastwood have had a miserable season. Moors' nearest challengers for promotion, North Ferriby and Radcliffe Borough, both have tricky away games today at Belper and Chorley respectively.

Bishop Auckland are without a game today, while in the Premier Division, Whitby are without Alex Gildea at home to Worksop. Gateshead, who are third bottom, need something from their game at second-bottom Hyde to improve their chances of avoiding the relegation play-offs.

Blyth, who are just one place above the play-off zone, are at Vauxhall Motors.

It is a long time since they reached the last four of any competition and manager Mark Fanning is confident of giving the high-flying Robins a good game.
