A Long-serving worker at a North-East care home has been promoted.
Pat Scott, of Bournmoor, near Chester-le-Street, is the new manager at the 55-bed Westerleigh care home in Scott Street, Stanley.
Mrs Scott said: "I was quite surprised to be promoted but obviously very pleased.
"I have plans for boosting the activities we have for the residents and also getting the families of the residents involved a lot more - for instance, more evenings where the families can join in the social activities at the home."
