MORE than 70,000 ballot papers are on their way to residents eligible to vote in Darlington Borough Council's local elections.
The authority is taking part in a postal voting pilot project for the elections taking place on May 1.
Ballot papers will be delivered from Monday. Voting papers returned after 9pm on May 1 will not be included in the count.
