The site has been developed by a team from Scarborough Borough Council.

SPRING SHOW: Northallerton Operatic Society's spring show, Sing Something Seasonal, opens at the Hambleton Forum in Northallerton on April 29 and runs until May 3. Performances start at 7.30pm. Bookings can be made from April 16 on (01609) 770936 or by visiting Boyes store.

SEASON OPENS: Richmond Bowls Club opens for a new season on Easter Sunday. New members are welcome at Ronaldshay Park from 2pm, with free coaching sessions on offer to those who would like to try their hand at the sport before joining. For details, call (01748) 830508.

BENDY BUSES: Six articulated buses are to be introduced on York's park-and-ride services from Monday in an effort to reduce waiting times and overcrowding. The vehicles carry twice as many passengers as ordinary buses.

ART SHOW: Northallerton Rotary Club has teamed up with the town council to stage an art exhibition and sale in the town hall on April 26 and 27. Admission is free and all proceeds go to charity.

MESSIAH NIGHT: The choirs of All Saints' Church and Northallerton Methodist Church are to unite for Handel's Messiah in the parish church on Easter Sunday Admission will be free.

CRAFT FAIR: A craft fair is to be held in the Chantry Hall, Bedale, on next Saturday and Monday, from 10am to 4pm. Refreshments will be available.

LUNCH TALK: North Yorkshire's two top women police officers, Chief Constable Della Cannings and head of CID Chief Superintendent Carmel Napier, will address the Macmillan Ladies' Lunch in Northallerton on May 6. The event, at the Golden Lion, will raise money for the cancer relief charity.
