FANTASTIC LOVE appears to have a simple task in this afternoon's TNT International Maiden Stakes at Hamilton over one-mile-and-three-furlongs.

Mark Johnston's three-year-old has only run twice in his life, both times finishing second at Ripon. The standard of each of those contests was significantly higher than today's race in which he only faces our seemingly modest rivals.

Fantastic Love (2.45) is not likely to go off at much of a starting price and those seeking better value ought to consider a small wager on Prospects Of Glory (4.15) in the most valuable race on the card, the £15,000 Tote Trifecta Showcase Handicap.

Prospects of Glory didn't pull up any trees when trained in Dubai until the age of five, but once hitting these shores last term, he stepped up a gear to collect quite a warm looking maiden at Lingfield.

Bred to be a champion by star USA sire Mr Prospector, Prospects Of Glory looks as if he might be a classic case of a late developer, in which case there could be plenty of improvement to come from Paul Scallan's mount.

Leave the opener at Wolverhampton to Scarlet Secret (2.20), an unlucky loser at Folkestone last time out.

The Charles Cyzer-trained sprinter had the misfortune to be drawn on the unfavoured stands' side that day and in the circumstances did extremely well to finish a close third.

He acts well on the sand so the switch back from turf will not be a problem, plus there is the added bonus of the stable enjoying an impressive vein of form at present.

In the later extended one mile Median Auction Stakes, the finish will likely be fought out between Telemachus (3.25) and Icecap.

Preference is marginally for the former, a promising third in what seemed to be a pretty strong handicap over the same trip last time out.

Tom Greenall has been getting some rave reviews from his guv'nor Mick Easterby, who has once again trusted him to do the steering on Noshinannikin (3.35) in the Tote Bookmakers Handicap Hurdle at Hexham.

Noshinannikin has already notched one track and trip success on similarly fast ground this month prior to scoring at Wetherby a few days ago. Despite those two wins the nine-year-old remains one step ahead of the handicapper and has every chance of completing the hat-trick.

Easterby also has a fancied runner at Newcastle's evening' jump meeting, Tickton Flyer (7.50) in the Cantor Index Handicap Hurdle.

Tickton Flyer has yet to win over hurdles, none the less he was impressive when picking up a couple of bumpers last term and even though he is returning from a lengthy absence has proved in the past that he goes well when fresh.
