FEW brides would let the "other woman" in their future husbands' lives share the big day, but Marianne Graham did not seem to mind. In fact, she even let him take her on honeymoon in Ireland with them.
John Savoury travels across the country with his "mystical maiden", but his pride and joy was made to take a back seat when the 27-year-old married his girlfriend of two years.
Pedestrians stopped in their tracks as the Mystical Maiden, John's American T-style Scanian lorry, pulled up at Bishop Auckland Register Office, in County Durham, on Saturday, decked out for the occasion with white ribbons and flowers.
It waited outside while the couple from Sunniside, near Tow Law, exchanged their vows, before transporting them to their wedding reception.
Marianne, 22, said: "Well, I suppose it's different. At least they have polished it.''
John, who works at GE Lee Haulage, Frosterley, County Durham, said it was boss William Lee who had the idea of taking the lorry to the wedding.
Mr Lee said: "John has worked for us for about five or six years. He and Marianne make a lovely couple. I am very pleased for them.''
