A PHYSIOTHERAPIST is to address an international conference tomorrow after an inviation by the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society.

Serena Hartley is travelling to Switzerland after the society asked her to be a guest at the seminar.

The all-expenses paid trip is a reward for her work with MS patients at the University Hospital of North Tees.

Mrs Hartley runs a rehabilitation scheme to help more sufferers understand and learn to manage their condition.

"This is a tremendous chance to develop my skills among some of the best professionals in the world and I am extremely grateful to the MS Society for giving me such a rare opportunity," said Mrs Hartley.

Diane Swan, head of physiotherapy at North Tees, said: "I am delighted that Serena's continued hard work and dedication has been recognised in this way."
