A five-year-old child is in hospital after being knocked down by an off-road motorbike.
The youngster was crossing Ormesby Road, Middlesbrough, at about 7.30pm on Wednesday when he was hit by the bike, which then left the scene.
The boy was taken to Middlesbrough General Hospital where he was treated for a minor head injury.
The bike is believed to be a dark blue or black Honda and had two teenage riders. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Peter Hammond on (01642) 301554.
