A 4.5KG Toblerone, worth £45, is being offered as a prize in a Father's Day competition at the Asda store in Billingham.

Youngsters are asked to design a Father's Day card and say why they think their father deserves the bar. The competition is open to children aged ten and under, and cards should be left at the customer services desk by Thursday.

PLAY DATE: A modern take on the Cinderella story comes to Billingham later this month. The Ash Girl, performed by the Billingham Players, will be staged at the Theatre Upstairs, next to Billingham Green, in Belasis Avenue. NEW OFFICES: Stockton Borough Council has received a planning application from Service Stockton for permission to change the use of Stirling House, Thornaby, from a care home into office accommodation. Plans for a 1.8m galvanised steel boundary fence, extra car parking and landscaping have also been submitted.

CHOIR SHOW: Guisborough Choral Society is to perform with conductor Stuart Buckton and accompanist Margaret Heaton.
