Tim Smalley was in excellent all round form leading Tudhoe to victory at Ushaw Moor, writes MALCOLM PRATT.

When the visitors batted first, Smalley starred with the bat scoring 70 of his team's total of 207 for one. Jonathan Taylor gave support and he was undefeated on 33 when the over expired.

When Ushaw Moor replied they then found Smalley bowling well and the youngster claimed four wickets for just nine runs in four overs reducing the home team to 77 all out.

Nattrass (28) and Vasey (22) led the Ushaw Moor batting but the man of the match was clearly Smalley.

Bishop Auckland scored just 42 all out at Kingsway but the low total was still more than enough against Mainsforth who were sent back with only 22 runs on the board as Chris Pratt collected no fewer than seven wickets.

Brandon hosted Esh Winning and lost by 17 runs.

Carl Turner had a good night with the bat for Esh striking five boundaries in 49 and, after opening the innings, was only just missed in the final over.

The visitors realised 104 for seven and Brandon were restricted to 86 for three with Andrew Johnson their top scorer hitting three boundaries in 22.
