A 26-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested over an assault on an 11-year-old-girl, who was grabbed around the throat on a cycle path in Wallsend, North Tyneside, on Bank Holiday Monday.
The man ran off when a dog walker crossed the top of the cycle path, along Benton Lane.
The suspect has been released on police bail pending inquiries.
