POLICE set up roadblocks in a North-East town and questioned everyone who was in the area as part of an ongoing murder inquiry late last night.
About 50 officers stopped cars and people in the west area of Middlesbrough, between 9.30pm and 1pm.
Officers hoped to find people who were in the area when 31-year-old father-of-two Darren Manders went missing.
All roads that lie within Union Street, Princes Street, Gresham Road and Glebe Road were effectively sealed off as part of the inquiry, headed by Superintendent Karnail Dulku, of Cleveland Police.
Mr Manders was last seen at the junction of Bow Street and Clifton Street between 11.30pm and midnight on June 5.
His body was later found dumped in woods in Nunthorpe, partly hidden under a pile of logs.
"I believe he has met his killer that night and he could have been killed on the estate," said Supt Dulku. "Someone could well know who killed him and the last piece of the jigsaw in what happened could lie in that estate."
Anyone with information about Mr Manders' death is asked to call police on (01642) 326326.
