ARMY medics proved they don't take their charity role lying down as they took to the streets to raise funds in memory of a soldier murdered in Iraq.
They really put their backs into their work, pushing a bed between two hospitals 25kms apart.
Medical and nursing staff from Catterick Garrison pushed the bed from the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton to the Catherine Club at the Duchess of Kent Psychiatric Hospital at Catterick.
The event on Saturday was raising funds for the Ben Hyde Trust, set up in memory of the 23-year-old military policemen from Northallerton who was killed in Iraq earlier this year.
A family fun day at the club which included a fundraising raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
