Evenwood Road Runners travelled across the Pennines for the Langdale Marathon and half marathon.

On the challenging two lap course Neil Douthwaite seemed to have an off day as he finished in a dehydrated state for four hours 18 mins for a credible 40th position from 61 finishers.

On the one lap half marathon course, John Johnston produced an excellent 1.37.17 for 52nd, Darren Million finished well with a pleasing run for 1.50.20 in 136th, Donna Douthwaite beat the two hour mark in a fine 1.57.10 -87th position from a field of 301 finishers.

Travelling South, for the Nottingham 26.2 and 13.1 road races, returning club member Kimberley Crowther produced an excellent performance in the Ladies Marathon by finishing in a superb 19th overall in 3.35.38 from a field of 105 finishers. In the Men's half Gary Atkinson also recorded an excellent time of 1.24.54 finishing 131st from a large field of 3680, and finishing in 1404th position with a credible time of 1.49.01 was Kenny Sams.

Up to the Highlands of Scotland Neil Douthwaite picked himself up and once again completed the second Loch Ness marathon in a new personal best time of 3.19.45, knocking off an emphatic 15mins05 secs. He crossed the finish line at the Queen's Park Stadium Inverness for an excellent 71st position from a total of 800 runners.

In the inaugural 5K event - a Douthwaite family idea from last year - Sarah finished in 25 minutes with Demi and Mother Donna both recording 28 minutes.
