PARENTS whose babies died before or soon after birth are being invited to a remembrance service in Darlington next month.
The annual service will take place at 3pm on Sunday, November 2, at the Darlington Memorial Hospital Chapel.
Debbie Bunford, the hospital's head of midwifery and gynaecology, said parents who had lost babies at any time, not just recently, were welcome.
"We have had some people come who lost a child 25 or 30 years ago. We get some families who come back every year and some just the year they have lost their baby.
"I think the parents find it supportive and it's an opportunity to remember their babies with others. Other relatives and friends are also welcome."
Tea and coffee will be available after the service.
To find out more, call Ms Bunford on (01325) 743098, hospital chaplain Brian Selmes on 743029, or Sandra Cooper, of the Miscarriage Association, on (01325) 286201.
