Bishop Auckland probably won't be moving to their new Tindale Crescent ground until 2005, chairman Terry Jackson has announced.

Bishops revealed earlier this week that the sale of their Kingsway ground was hopefully nearing completion, but according to Jackson, there is still some way to go.

"It is unlikely that we'll be there for August 2004," he said. "Realistically, we're 18 months away, assuming everything to do with Kingsway is sorted out in the next few weeks.

"We've had talks with Shildon, and they've agreed that we can play there for another year, which is greatly appreciated.

"But we must also address the issues which will help us get an A grade at Shildon, so then we can be playing Premier Division football next season. We have asked the UniBond League for clarification."

Bishops, meanwhile, are now fourth in the UniBond First Division after their 3-1 win at Bamber Bridge on Tuesday night, with Chris Moore the destroyer-in-chief. However, Moore will be missing tomorrow at home to Matlock because he is on trial at Dunfermline.

Bishops' home game against North Ferriby has been re-arranged for Wednesday, October 22, and they will play Blyth in the league cup the following Wednesday at Dean Street.

Spennymoor's ground is going to be inspected by the Conference next week.

The Conference ground grading committee has arranged to visit the Brewery Field on Tuesday in order to advise what improvements Moors need to carry out within the next four years.

Secretary Brian Boughen said: "It's a routine visit which the Conference is carrying out at every club which has applied for the new Conference north.

"They'll have a good look at our facilities and our plans, and tell us what we need to do to satisfy their criteria by April 2007.

"We're hoping that if we get grant aid, then we can cover the whole ground, and extend the main stand by another 200 seats up to 600. All the rest of the ground will be covered terracing.

"We want the fans to help out as much as possible, by coming along this weekend and helping us clean and tidy the ground."

Moors edged closer to the Conference on Tuesday when they drew 1-1 at Altrincham.

They will play Workington in the next round of the Trophy after the Cumbrians beat Lincoln United in their replay on Tuesday night.
