Darlington Mowden Park are hoping to have player-coach Richard Arnold and his Newcastle Falcons colleague Martin Shaw available for tomorrow's National Three North match at Fylde.

After recovering from his back problem, Arnold is now trying to shake off a dose of flu and is in contention for a place in the back row.

Shaw hasn't played since he was injured in the Falcons' pre-season match against Glasgow, but could take over in the centre from Chris Strong, who played in the derby win against Darlington.

Prop Dave Sinclair and hooker Tasi Tuhana, both injured in that game, are making good recoveries, while scrum half Richard Holbrough is fit to challenge Andy Foreman for his place.

Winger James Tyrrell is also fit and will start his comeback in the seconds away to his former club, Blaydon.

In North Two East Middlesbrough entertain Horden and will have the experienced Tony Wilkinson making his first appearance of the season at lock.

Ian Bradford will be alongside him after missing the defeat at Hull, with Jason Littleton coming in at prop and Danny Poole on the wing. Mark Foster, available for the first time this season, will be on the bench.

Boro will hope to get back to winning ways as they did not lose as heavily to Hull as Horden did at home the previous week.

Stockton visit Westoe without Jamie Brown, two-try hero of last week's first win of the season against Sandal. His place in the back row goes to Ian Todd with Brett Wildridge providing cover on the bench after returning from holiday.

Stockton have been boosted by the news that former Notts, Lincs and Derby fly half Jeremy Good is rejoining the club from Ilkestone. But he is currently out with an eye injury.

While many observers will wonder why West Hartlepool Amateurs continue to exist - they have lost all four games in Durham and Northumberland Division Three - their home match against Medicals means West Hartlepool have a 2pm kick off at home to unbeaten North Two East leaders Morpeth.

West are still without injured backs Mark Thompson, Tommy Barff and Peter Hodgson, but it is hoped winger David Mullen will be available. Carl Robinson could start in the front row after doing well as a replacement at Horden last week.

Northallerton, unbeaten in Yorkshire Three, are back to full strength for the visit of bottom club Leeds Corinthians. Ben Allerton returns at centre and Simon Kiddle at full back.
