Crook Belle Vue hold a ten points lead over Cockton Hill in the darts section; Cockton Hill are three points ahead with a match in hand over Chilton in the dominoes section and Ferryhill are ten points ahead of Crook Belle Vue and Cockton Hill in the pool section.

Willington Ladies League

Willington Club B continued their relentless move towards repeating their darts section Championship win of last season when they won by three points on their visit to Willington Black Horse B. This victory pushes the Club B side 15 points clear of Willington Black Horse A, with Willington Burn Inn a further three points adrift.

Willington Market slipped to their second dominoes defeat of the season when they went down by the odd point on their visit to Willington Club A. Despite this reversal the Market still lead the dominoes section by one point from Hunwick Joiners Arms.

Auckland Area

CIU League

Old Shildon, newcomers to the league, travelled to Newton Aycliffe Horndale for their first match and managed to make victories in the dominoes and the pool sections. In the darts section Horndale only dropped one point when Darren Blood won for the visitors, whilst the home side had wins from Lenny Turner, Barry Shippen and Stephen Musgrave to add to the team game. Shippen also won the captain's and was joined by Jackie Coatsworth to take the pairs.

Old Shildon produced a whitewash victory at dominoes with wins from John Collingwood, Alan Bell, Keith Gittens and Alan Hobson. Horndale recovered to take the captain's through George Mills with Jeff Bowran and Chris Musgrave adding the pairs. The home side won both the whist and the fives and threes for the loss of one point each but Old Shildon came back to take the pool with wins from Michael Aldworth, Darren Blood and David Waites with Tom Scott winning for Horndale.

Tow Law Cup

The draw for the first round of this competition involving dominoes and pool will be played on Wednesday, 15 October: Tow Law Dan's Castle B v Tow Law Football Club and Tow Law Rose & Crown v Tow Law New Market B.

The second round, to be played on 3 December is: Newhouse Club v Sunniside Comedian; Tow Law New Market A v Tow Law Dan's Castle B or Tow Law Football Club; Tow Law Dan's Castle A v Tow Law Rose and Crown or Tow Law New Market B; Tow Law Station v Hamilton Row Black Horse.
