A Barnard Castle man got an early Christmas present when he attended a Home Housing Open Day last week.
Keith Archer won £100 after being entered into a draw at the open day, which he attended with his father-in-law, Harry Groome, who is a Home Housing tenant at Bowes-Lyon House, Barnard Castle.
Mr Archer said: "I was delighted to win the prize. We only decided to go to the open day on the spur of the moment. I think we'll probably end up splitting the money."
John Reay, housing officer for Home Housing, said: "It was good day and a lot of tenants came along, we hope to have another one in the summer."
