SOCIETY AWARD: The Weardale Society will be presenting its annual award for community spirit at a social evening in the Methodist Schoolroom, Stanhope, on Monday, at 7.30pm.
HISTORY NIGHT: Witton-le-Wear History Group is posing the question "What was it like living in the village in the 1900s?" at its monthly meeting, in the Community Centre, on Wednesday, at 7.15pm.
COFFEE TIME: A coffee morning and goods sale is being held at Westgate Village Hall today, at 10.30am, in aid St Andrew's Church.
KEEPING TRACK: A series of courses on researching family history starts at Stanhope Community Centre next Thursday, at 1pm. For details call (01388) 526939.
