TWENTY artists will be displaying their work at the first exhibition of the recently-formed Richmondshire Arts and Crafts Guild.
The Dales Countryside Museum, in Hawes, will host the event, which runs from Friday until August 18.
Potter and guild chairman Andrew Hague said: "This is a really important visual statement for our guild and will show just how much creative talent there is working right here within the Yorkshire Dales National Park."
The guild was established in order to raise the profile of arts and crafts within Richmondshire.
It has been supported by the Arts Council England, which awarded it £28,300.
"We are indebted to the Arts Council England and to AiR, Richmondshire's arts development agency, for making the guild a reality.
"We have recently appointed a project co-ordinator and hope it will be the first of many events to help promote and encourage high quality arts and crafts from the region," said Mr Hague.
Other artists displaying their work at the exhibition include Wensleydale painters Winifred Hodge and Piers Browne, along with award- winning photographer Emma Amsden.
The Dales Countryside Museum is open from 10am to 5pm daily.
