THE latest addition to the Ann Summers empire opens in the region today.
Jacqueline Gold, the group's chief executive, will join the face of Ann Summers, Luci Victoria, to open the outlet in the Gateshead MetroCentre.
Ms Gold said: "The North-East has proved to be hugely successful for Ann Summers, so, following the demand, it was only a matter of time before we opened another store.
"It is true what they say, that the further north you go, the more up for it people are."
