A LAST call has been made for youngsters wanting to climb aboard a steam train to Father Christmas.
The Tanfield Railway, near Stanley, is running The North Pole Express to take parents and children on a rail ride to visit Santa in his grotto.
The only available spaces left are on November 27 and 28, and December 4, 5, 22, 23 and 24.
The sights and sounds of a 1960s coal train will be recreated on the railway this Sunday. Steam trains will be running from 11am. For details, call 0191-388 7545.
