PUPILS from four primary schools will heading into a recording studio this week to cut their first disc.
The children have teamed up with local band, The Happy Cats, to record the track at The Studio, in Hartlepool.
The pupils, from primary schools in Thornaby, near Stockton, will then perform the song, called 100 Per Cent, at Stockton's Arc next month.
The concert, alongside The Happy Cats, follows months of hard work involving tuition from the band and dance choreographers.
The musical project is part of a scheme to reduce truancy and encourage children to stay in school.
