HUNDREDS of people lined Stokesley High Street last Friday to catch a glimpse of Britain's most successful Olympian.
Rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave was guest of honour at the official opening of the newly-formed Roseberry Group's offices in North Road.
The firm offers financial and estate agent services for people looking to buy or sell property at home or abroad.
During his visit, the five-time Olympic gold medallist signed a canoe which will be auctioned off by the Roseberry Group at the Daisy Chain charity ball in May.
He also signed hundreds of autographs, on everything from bus tickets to football programmes, at the packed town hall.
Linda Robinson, the group's operations director, said: "The whole day was a resounding success.
"The icing on the cake was, of course, the opening by Sir Steve, who is the legend we all thought he was.
"He is a true man of the people - nothing was too much trouble for him, even when Daisy Chain asked if he would be prepared to carry the canoe over to the town hall for the signing ceremony."
