FIREFIGHTERS are set to go door-to-door to help push the fire prevention message.
As part of their new risk management strategy, the North Yorkshire Fire Service is attempting to stop blazes before they start.
After two house fires in January this year, Romanby, Northallerton, has been identified as a vulnerable area and local firefighters will be visiting with a mobile safety unit.
On March 12, 13, 19 and 26 they will be in Romanby calling at houses with advice on smoke-detectors, fire prevention and escape plans should fire break out.
