A CHARITY concert takes place this weekend in memory of a soldier killed in Iraq.
Lance Corporal Ben Hyde, from North-allerton, died in June 2003 with five other military police officers, in an ambush on a police station.
Northallerton Silver Band will perform at the Garrison Church, Catterick Garrison, at 7.30pm on Saturday.
The band has dedicated a hymn-like piece of music, called Ewecote, to his memory, and play it at almost every concert they give.
Tickets cost £5, £3 for concessions. They are available from Sweet Memories, in East Road; TP Sports, Central Arcade; and Northallerton Book Shop, Barkers Arcade, all Northallerton, or The Cutting Room hairdressers, Hildyard Row, Catterick Garrison.
Proceeds will be divided between the Royal Military Police Central Benevolent Fund, Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps Association and Northallerton Silver Band funds.
