A WOMAN who claims she was forced to act as a sex slave told a court yesterday she kept a secret diary about her ordeal.

The 28-year-old claims she was repeatedly ordered to submit to sex with John Gibson, 41, who threatened he would distribute naked pictures of her to her family and work colleagues.

He also told her he would kill her and her family, and backed up the threats by showing her weapons, including guns, knives and knuckledusters.

On her second day of giving evidence at Newcastle Crown Court yesterday, the woman told jurors how she was so scared she kept the clothes she had worn during the rapes so they could be used as evidence against him if he killed her.

She also started logging the threats he had made to her and each time she had met him and been raped.

The woman told jurors yesterday how she started hoarding the evidence because she feared he would eventually kill her.

She told the court: "I thought if he killed me, someone could take them to the police and show them."

The woman told the court that, as well as forcing her to submit to sex at his home in Oak Crescent, Whitburn, near Sunderland, Gibson raped her at his allotment and at gunpoint on the seafront.

Gibson denies ten charges of rape between October 12, 2003 and February 1, last year. He also denies a charge of harrassment between September 1, 2003, and February 1, last year. The trial continues.
