A man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a young woman.
Andrew Burn, 21, was arrested following an incident in Maynard Street, Carlin How, in the early hours of Wednesday this week.
Mr Burn, of Coniston Road, Skelton, was remanded in custody yesterday by Guisborough magistrates to appear at Teesside Crown Court next week.
Zoe Lonsdale, 19, was rushed to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, with stab wounds. Her condition has been described as 'non life-threatening'.
