EGGSTRAVAGANZA: St Peter's Church, in Redcar, is holding an Easter Eggstravaganza in the Zetland Rooms today, from 10am to noon. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a hot cross bun will be available for 50p. There will also be a cake stall and tombola.
FRIDGE FIRE: Firefighters were called to deal with a fridge fire at a house in Cattersty Way, Brotton, at about 9am yesterday.
Saltburn DRAMA: Saltburn 53 drama group launches its week-long festival on Monday at the town's Community Theatre, starting at 6.45pm. The festival starts with three performances from local groups and ends with a presentation evening on Saturday. Tickets cost £4.50 on the door or from Kings, of Saltburn, on (01287) 622246.
OWL DAY: Kirkleatham Old Hall, near Redcar, is playing host to a string of owl-themed events today. The events run from 10.30am until 12.30pm. For details, call (01642) 759900.
SPRING FAIR: Linthorpe Community Centre is hosting a spring fair today from 10am to noon. Stalls include Fairtrade chocolate, cakes, bric-a-brac and a tombola. The event will be opened by the chairman of Middlesbrough Council, Councillor Javed Ismail.
COFFEE MORNING: A coffee morning with cake stalls and Easter egg raffle will be held from 10am to noon today at Redcar United Reformed Church, Station Road. Entry is 50p.
