Officers in the North-East are investigating a knifepoint robbery.
It happened at around 3.40pm on yesterday as a 29-year-old man was walking through Northumberland Park in North Shields.
He was approached by two men who threatened him with a knife and demanded he hand over his wedding ring.
The man gave the ring and the pair made off towards Tynemouth Golf Club.
Both men are described as being aged between 18 and 19, of dark European appearance and skinny build with dark hair.
The man with the knife was around 5ft 10ins tall wearing a dark blue jacket with tracksuit bottoms which had a stripe down the side of the leg.
The second man is around 6ft tall. Anyone who saw the incident or has any information about is asked to contact North Shields CID on 0191-214 6555, ext 61345.
