A BRAVE volunteer had the hairs on his body stripped off by beauticians in aid of the tsunami appeal.
Terry Taylor, 54, from West Auckland, invited the staff from Saks Hair and Beauty Salon, in Bishop Auckland, to wax his chest, stomach and legs on Saturday, after a dare set by his friends.
Hairdresser Tracey Wlodarczak said: "He wanted to do something to raise money for the tsunami appeal.
"His mates suggested a wax and then said he wouldn't dare do it, so he did. I think he found it pretty painful."
Mr Taylor's friends and salon staff were at West Auckland Workingmen's Club to watch beauty therapist, Adelle Stockley, 25, give Mr Taylor a "waxing". He raised £200.
Throughout March, the salon will donate 20 per cent of what they make on all waxing.
