JAN Johanson has been promoted to a divisional director at North-East stockbrokers Wise Speke after 20 years with the company.
She first joined Wise Speke in 1984, working in the secretarial department, and after having a family returned on a part-time basis as an assistant in the research department.
When Wise Speke became part of Brewin Dolphin Securities in 1998 she moved to the IT department and three years later became assistant director.
Working within a team of 170 operations staff in Newcastle, which provides administrative services for the entire Brewin Dolphin Group, Ms Johanson is responsible for overseeing a range of operations functions, including client database, client reporting and account monitoring.
