A FORMER mining community is gearing up for a day of fun on its Millennium Green and in its village hall later this month.
The event will be held at Craghead, near Stanley, on Saturday, June 11, between noon and 4pm and will feature a range of activities and attractions.
There will be performances by theatre group Snug and the Davey Lamp Players, puppeteers, face-painting, a kite-making class, a cake stall and bouncy castle.
Admission is free.
