THOUSANDS of people flocked to a popular Teesdale country and game fair over the weekend.
The two-day event, at Raby Castle in Staindrop, featured an array of rurally themed attractions and animal pursuits.
It was the first time the event had been held at Raby Castle, and it attracted over 8,000 visitors.
Among the most popular activities were dog agility tests, clay pigeon shooting, and the animal arena shows, which included sheep shearing and sheep dogs.
Katie Blundell, marketing and events manager at Raby Castle, said: "The weekend went very well, and we were very pleased with the outcome.
"We are looking to use this year as a base to build on for next year’s event, which we hope will be bigger and better for visitors."
