Just catching up with the way the national tabloids reported Roy Keane's resignation from Sunderland yesterday.
Like The Northern Echo, most of them went on the angle that Keane had confirmed his departure to chairman Niall Quinn by text.
It reminded me of the time Phil Collins famously dumped his wife by fax.
Anyway, assorted national tabloids decided to reproduce a graphic of the mobile phone text message sent by Keane.
"CU L8R NIALL...I'M OFF - ROY" was how the Daily Star depicted the resignation message.
"DEAR NIALL, PLEASE ACCEPT MY RESIGNATION. ROY KEANE," was the Daily Express's less fanciful version.
Whereas The good old Sun went for: "NIALL - CAN'T CU BUT JUST TO LET YOU KNOW...I QUIT."
In other words, "WE DON'T AV A CLUE WOT IT REALLY SAID."
