KEVIN Keegan has begun his multi-million pound legal battle against Newcastle owner Mike Ashley.
According to a report in today's Daily Mirror the Geordie legend has lodge court papers claiming unfair dismissal.
At stake could be a potential pay day of £8m.
Keegan is expected to claim his job was made impossible by Ashley and his advisors, including Dennis Wise.
He claims he was not given the final say over summer transfers -- and alleges that broke a promise made to him when he took over last January.
The case is due to be heard before a three-man Premier League tribunal.
