A new Indian restaurant is opening in the centre of Darlington town centre.
Dilshad, a new Indian diner, opened last week and the team have spoken about how excited they are to serve their first customers.
They have spent the last few months redesigning and redecorating the interior of their building on Parkgate, near the Darlington Hippodrome.
Salak Ali, the owner of Dilshad, spoke about wanting to set up the restaurant in Darlington because of the thriving town centre.
The 44-year-old said: "We opened on the 19th and we are all very excited.
"We have all worked very hard towards opening and providing the best possible experience.
