One person has been taken to hospital following an "attack" which has seen a street that occupies a primary school cordoned off and swarmed by police this evening.
Emergency services have been in attendance on Worcester Street in Middlesbrough this evening just after 5:30pm as reports have emerged of an attack on a 17-year-old boy.
Police erected a cordon along the street including outside Ayresome Primary School as crime scene investigators photographed and took items away from the scene.
Pictures show multiple officers and vehicles at the scene this evening blocking off both the school and street.
It has now been confirmed that one person, a male, has been taken to hospital.
A North East Ambulance spokesperson said: "We received a call this evening at 17:32 to concerns for a person in the Worcester Street area of Middlesbrough.
