Alongside selecting locations, the supermarket is also searching for freehold town-centre, edge-of-centre, and retail park sites suitable for property development.
The sites should be able to accommodate a 20,000 sq foot store with around 100 parking spaces. Ideally, the location will be near a main road with good visibility and access.
This news from the supermarket brand comes after it was announced on Thursday (September 12) that there will be an Aldi opening in Northallerton after plans were approved for a retail park including the supermarket, alongside Burger King, Starbucks, and Greggs.
