Police have released an image of a man they'd like to speak to after a woman was raped in a Middlesbrough park.
Police were called to Albert Park, off Park Road North, in the early hours of Wednesday (September 11) morning after a woman reported a rape.
Officers taped off the fountain at the centre of the park, with a crime scene investigation van spotted on a road nearby.
Cleveland Police launched an investigation, describing the suspect who made off from the scene as a black male, about 30 years old, of slim build, around 4fft 11ins to 5ft 2in.
He was wearing a long, black parka jacket which is described as “scruffy” and he had his hood up, and was riding a pedal bike.
The force has now released two images of a man they believe may be able to assist police with their enquiries into the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Alan O’Donoghue from Middlesbrough CID said: “I would appeal to the man in these images to contact us as he could potentially assist with our ongoing enquiries.
“Anyone who may know his identity is also asked to contact police, by calling Cleveland Police on 101.
