Police have launched an investigation after a woman was punched in the face by a man in Redcar.
The incident took place on the town's High Street, near to the clock, when the 39-year-old was assaulted between 12pm and 1pm on Saturday, September 7.
At the time, a woman intervened to help the victim to her feet and ensure she was okay - with Cleveland Police now appealing for her to come forward.
PC Dylan Keane said: “I am really keen to speak to the woman who helped the victim as she could have information that could assist with the investigation.

“If this is you, or perhaps somebody knows who the woman might be, please make contact with police by contacting 101.
“I also want to take this opportunity to appeal to anyone who may have information or footage that may be useful to also come forward.”
